I stumbled upon this old well in my search for more fishin' spots. What's that old sayin'? Toss a penny in a well and make a wish? Can't hurt can it? Here goes nothin...please please I wish for Maria Ernest to be my one true love.
What the? Where did you come from fella? What's that? Are you croakin' kiss me? Do toads talk here? I looked around and once I was sure no one was lookin' I gave that toad a big smack on the lips (do frogs have lips?).
Of course I'm just being foolish! Nothing happened other than the frog jumping back into the well. He's not going to get the best of me though. I'm gonna catch him and fry him up for dinner!
Now that I've caught dinner, I'll sit down and read a little, this time a real book not one of those audio one's.
Whose that? Is that? She's coming this way. Well I'll be..it is! (Did my wish come true after all).
Maria apologized for running off the other day. She's speakin' so low and I believe blushin'. It's either that or the heat. I'll be, this little filly must be shy! We chatted a bit and then she invited me back to her place where I taught her how to fry up them there frog legs! She said she never heard of such a thing but she found them mighty tasty.
Another day and haven't tried the pools out yet. Decided to try one of them out and low and behold guess who I ran into? Yep and she's full of surprises. Not only did I learn Maria loves fishin' and being outdoors but she can hold her breath longer than me! Now this is definitely the gal for me!
After leaving the pool, I decided to go sight seeing some more. I found this uncut emerald and it reminded me of Maria. A little late to head over to her place though so I waited until the next day.
Maria: Chet! This is so unexpected....I don't know that I can accept this.
Chet: Maria, oh don't worry about it. Not like I paid for it or anything...I just thought you'd like it. Since I'm here...what do you say you and I hangout for a bit.
Maria: Sounds great! Have you been to our movie theatre yet? We can hit that next and then there's a new spa in town too.
The two of us headed out and had a great time together. We ended the night at that new spa. They had this outdoor hot tub that we both rather enjoyed. I was even able to steal a kiss....whoopee I think I'm in love!
Maria and I saw each other on and off for several weeks...finally I got up the courage to ask her to go steady with me. I sure didn't want to risk scaring her off. I must have played my cards right as she quickly agreed to be my gal! We set around the campfire tellin' stories and roasting marshmallows then finished the night up watchin' the stars. Maria really is starting to open up with me and share more about herself. I find I think about her day and night. I am gonna make her my wife one day...hopefully sooner than later.
